General Program

The Lady Osprey are associated with ASA Junior Olympic Youth Softball.

The ASA Junior Olympic Youth program is about kids - it's about creating a positive environment where they can grow and develop, and learn a sport they can enjoy for a lifetime. Most importantly, it's about making sure they come away from their softball experience feeling confident about themselves and who they are.

Our teams play at five different levels; U10 (ages 8-10), U12 (ages 11-12), U14 (ages 13-14), U16 (ages 15-16) and U18 (ages 17-18).   These teams travel to various cities to participate in Fast Pitch softball tournaments.

Our History

Our club was formed on the ball fields and in a sand box outside of some ball fields.  Two girls forged a friendship with a common bond.  They both loved softball.  As parents we wanted to ensure that love for the game was not diminished by lack of competitive opportunities.  As a result we formed the Lady Osprey Fast Pitch softball club as a means for young women to continue their love for softball.

Why do we exist?

The Lady Osprey is about strengthening softball in the Missoula area and providing opportunities for young ladies to take their game to the next level.  Building a strong foundation for the local high schools to draw from is extremely important as well as giving kids a chance to play at the college level.  We exist For the Kids!  It is as simple as that.  We want to provide an environment where young ladies hone their softball skills, grow and become more competitive and prepare for things they will deal with later in life.
